System Synthesis expands on an earlier book titled "System Integration" to include the complete synthesis process that embraces the complete job between requirements analysis and verification. This
includes: (1) product design that translates the requirements into a set of engineering drawings and reports, (2) material acquisition that translates the content of the part lists on a set of engineering drawings into procurement actions and the routing of these materials received to manufacturing stations, and (3) manufacturing work that translates the available materials into finished product. The content is focused on the work of the system engineer providing primarily an integration service throughout this work.
