This book shows the reader how to write a SEMP that reflects the company’s identity and is appropriate to the customer’ requirements (such as ISO 9001, Integrated Management System, EIA 632, IEEE P-1220). About half of the book covers the process of preparing the SEMP and the remainder is a complete SEMP in paper media. A disk sold with the book includes the complete SEMP in Microsoft Word that can be edited to form your SEMP. The book also encourages that you write only one SEMP called a System Engineering Manual (SEM) and that program planning refer to it for process control.
